I designed and ran a test of three speech-to-text vendors on 2,000 labelled calls from four customers. The data team built the labelling tool. Every vendor ran on the same calls, and the company switched vendors as a result.
For Saaras I’d change four things. Slice by language, accent, noise and channel. Report per slice. Check names and numbers. And use CER next to WER, with agreed normalisation.
